NYSG's Strategic Plan for 2000 - 2005 forms the basis of the two-year Implementation Plans that are submitted to the National Sea Grant College Program biennially. New York Sea Grant supports research, outreach, and education efforts to contribute to a variety of issues, goals and objectives.

The Plan's goals and objectives are used for NYSG research and outreach planning and to describe to New York’s coastal decision-makers the major foci of its integrated program. These same objectives and other components in the two-year Implementation plans provide the metrics for measuring the extent of NYSG’s success.
