Stony Brook, NY, July 20, 2021 - Is Shellfish Farming Right For You? If you would like to learn the steps involved with establishing a shellfish farming business venture in New York, then we invite you to enroll in a free e-course that you can complete at your own pace.

Students will learn about the history of shellfish cultivation and underwater land access management, the different shellfish leasing programs to apply for access to underwater lands, and other permits necessary to growout harvest shellfish. This course also addresses basic farm management and best practices to manage and maintain healthy shellfish livestock.

Students take a quiz at the end of each module to test their knowledge in this self-paced course.
